The Wrong View of Rock and Roll

The rock and roll was born in 1940 as a “rebel posture of the youth in front of the adult society at different levels like society, religious, family and sexual.”
(http://www.trovador.com/documentacion/pdf/cursos/rock.pdf) (Rock and roll: los Años 50.)
“This genre is a mix of country and western which is white music, and rhythm and blues, which is black music.”
(http://www.trovador.com/documentacion/pdf/cursos/rock.pdf) (Rock and roll: los Años 50.)
In 1995 the rock was consolidated as a musical genre of the youth.
For many people rock and roll is not just a music style with a stage
and entertainment. For those people rock and roll represents a real lifestyle in which they look at their idols with reverence, almost religiously.
We all live in a society that has free thinking and everybody has their right to express theirselves in the way that they want. But is this right?
If people see a boy or a girl with long hair, dressed all in black, making that strange sign on their hand, they probably said; what is that?, is it a rocker, or an alcoholic? They are crazy! ;but people just don’t see the real side.

We are living in a society that judges everybodies appearance.

Is it correct to push away someone who likes this kind of music just only for its appearance or the way they look?

Since the beginning people with different points of view has their own opinion about that kind of music;
The rock and roll always have had more negative commentaries than positives.

Andrea Olivetti G.

Like if you are a rocker you are freak, or you are an evil person, or even satanic.
Rockers generally don’t care about what people thinks about them they just care about their music.

But it doesn’t mean that they are total freak. They are normal people like every one, but the only difference is that they follow another things.
We can say that music is all they’ve always wanted and they adopt the rock and roll as a lifestyle because of that.

Rock is not only rock. Rock is love, rock is passion, and rock is power. Rock is life.

Arab Israeli conflict

Introduction
In an attempt to take advantage of this change, US Secretary of State James Baker made some trips to the region in the eight months following the Gulf War.
Later, Madrid invites Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan and the Palestinians to an open conference sponsored by the US and the Soviet Union on October 30, 1991.
“The invitation, an outcome of compromises by all sides, detailed the structure of the Madrid process, an opening conference having no power to impose solutions.”
The breakup of the Soviet Union and the Gulf War reshaped the basic political order of the Middle East.

Body
The Gulf war of 1991 also proved a major factor in bringing about a breakthrough in talks between Israel, the Arabs and Palestinians. Just before the Gulf War, President George Bush promised Arab leaders, that should they join the US led coalition against Iraq. Washington would later turn its attention to sorting out the Arab-Israeli conflict.
Effects
1. In spite of the sour atmosphere portrayed in the harsh opening statements made by the sides, the Madrid Conference succeeded in establishing a two track mechanism for future negotiations between Israelis, Arabs and Palestinians.

2. The first was a multilateral track in which Israel, regional Arab states and other states outside the region would address five key issues: water, environment, arms control, refugees and economic development.

3. The second framework – a bilateral track, was designed for direct talks in Washington between Israel and each of her main adversaries: Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and the Palestinians, the latter two united in a joint Jordanian-Palestinian delegation.

In conclusion The bilateral talks opened soon after the Madrid Conference, and on January 28 of 1992, the multilateral talks began. However, there was little progress and no significant breakthrough in either track.

There were also several differences between Washington and Lincoln. Washington came from a wealthy aristocratic background. He had several years of schooling, but Lincoln came from a poor background and had very little schooling. Another difference between the two, involved their military roles. Washington was a general. He was a military leader who Became president. Lincoln never served in the military. He was a lawyer who early on became a politician. When he became president, he took on the role of commander in chief, as all U.S. presidents do. Despite his lack of military background or training. Lincoln made several strategic decisions that enabled the U.S. military leaders to win the Civil War. Finally, Washington served for two terms and therefore had eight years to accomplish his policies. Lincoln, on the other hand, was assasinated, While in office and was not able to finish some of the things that he wanted for the country.

Writing guidelines

“languge both reflects and shapes society”.
It is like a small cycle, culture reflects language and language reflects culture
It is said that language influences on the attitude, behavior and perceptions of a society.
The language that we need to know is the language of our differences.
“differences must be integrated, not annihilated” –M.P.Follet.

Biased language

This kind of language refers to an specific and select group.
It categorizes people when its unnecessary to do.

Inclusive/ exclusive

In inclusive language intents to include everyone for example: all the human beings need oxygen to be alive, by human beings it includes everybody.

Sexist /nonsexist

Sexist language promotes and maintains attitudes that stereotype the people; and the nonsexist language is the one that treats both sexes equally.

Gender- free/ gender-fair/ gender –specific

There are words that define the people occupations and the gender of the person who develops it.

Sex/ gender

Sex is biological, gender is cultural.
People with male genitals are male and women with women genitals are women.

The notions of the society about “masculine” are based on what a society expects that men have to behave and for women it’s the same.

Pseudo generic “man/men/mankind

The inclusive language centers its attention
In the use of “man” as a universal term, refers to everybody in general, no matter if is a woman o a man, talking about the sex.

Even dough many women feels offended when someone refers to herself as the universal “man”, because of the feminism.

Not all words that contains man, men or boy are sexist.

Parallel treatment

The parallel treatment talks about when you are saying something about some topic, and you see that there are two things that you cannot mix. For example: the palestain and Israel believes.

Gender role words

Sex linked words depend for their meanings on cultural stereotypes; like femenine/masculine.

A small adventure in Carnivals...........

I`m going to talk about my favorite carnivals, even though i don`t like them so much.
My best memories of carnivals was last year when i went out with my actual boyfriend.
For that time, i was like dating him and it was kind of cool because we were at 84 street and he was at the otherside of the street, and I couldn`t talk to him.
We pass like 2 hours looking for some little space to pass to the otherside, to meet eachother; we were desperate, and i think this was a short adventure of our lifes.
Finally, I found a friend of mine, and I ask him to go to the otherside of the street but in his car, it was boring because we had to sorround the event, to get there.
Like and hour later we get there, and my boyfriend was bored, desperate, he was physically dying.

At 7:00 pm the event was endend, we went to a bar to drink a few beers an talk more about us; I think it was a good experience for both, because we enjoy talking about anything, and this was the perfect time to do it and for knowing ourselves a little bit more.

Welcome to a new sapace for music and fun!!!

For the people who like the music like me, this is a motto for you:
The music is all over my muscles , and there is no doubt I let myself go to Earth!!!
I hope you enjoy it , and think about!!!
Peace..........
